This book is a collection of essays honoring the life and contributions of Professor Ihechukwu Madubuike. An academic and literary critic who taught at the State University of New York (Buffalo) and Ohio State University in the 1970s. He is a well-known voice in Igbo studies and African literature, and he co-authored the seminal work Toward the Decolonization of African Literature. He served in various high-level governmental positions in Nigeria, including Federal Minister of Education (1979–1981) and Minister of Health (1995–1997). As a public intellectual, he is known for his contributions to Nigerian political, cultural, and educational discourse. He served as the Director of Igbo Renaissance at Gregory University, Uturu, and is the founder of the Ihechukwu Madubuike Institute of Technology (IMIT). The book focuses on themes in Nigerian and African studies, as well as on Madubuike's multifaceted career, reflecting on scholarship, public service, and intellectual thought within the context of African literature, Nigeria, and Igbo Studies.
